The insanity called FORGIVENESS

While lying in bed unable to sleep, because of the sciatic nerve pain in my left leg, I experienced an out of body visionary journey. The spirit of the Lord was upon me, as my mind’s eye traveled back in time where sources of mental and physical “pain” was experienced. The unraveling of each event, some family oriented, church related, and friendly associations, felt as if it was happening all over again. The struggle and “pain” through each turmoil was real and unwaveringly picturesque. It seems as if I was “traveling” throughout time, for hours! The “voice” that echoed in my mind kept repeating, at the end of events, “you thought you could not bear it”. As my spiritual journey was ending, it was at that moment, I realized those past experiences were no longer painful to me in this present day!

As I turned to check the clocks’ time, suddenly these words came to me: “Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words can never hurt you”; causing me to ponder: How many of us grew up hearing our elders repeat those very words; so often that you would repeat it to others who would confront you with hurtful words. Did you really believe this or were you experiencing a “brain-washing” of sort? Our reality has always existed, to which we knew sticks and stones caused temporary pain but words were damaging hurtful and echoed in our minds, sometime for a lifetime. Even with that “secret” knowledge, generationally we continued to deny the truth of the matter. Passing on falsehoods as if it were truth – denial!

Stay with me – Here is the Sight for the Blind

God-fearing Believers are inspired by the Word of God, that we must forgive those that persecute us, hurt us no matter if it is in word or deed – we are to forgive! Forgiveness is consciously deciding to remove the thought and feelings of resentment and vengeance against others. PAIN. Acknowledged PAIN! Unimagined PAIN! Most people will respond – you must be crazy – it/he/she/they hurt me! The world teaches an eye for an eye – you hurt me, I hurt you back harder! Punishmentrevengeful society is considered sanity! The bigger and better pushes back the hardest – sanity.

FORGIVENESS is to embrace that you are insane, because you have consciously (knowingly) decided to remove the thought and feelings (pain) of resentment and vengeance against others! To you it doesn’t EXIST anymore! Are you willing to embrace insanity? – it’s called FORGIVENESS!

MATTHEW 6: 14-15 “For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Choose you this day:

1. Sanity of the world=unforgiveness

OR

2. Insanity of a Believer=FORGIVENESS
